The iconic Bistro Royal, located at the corner of Kongens Nytorv and Gothersgade, now has a sister restaurant—just a stone's throw away.
When disaster struck in November and a fire temporarily paused operations at Bistro Royal, the team behind it turned the challenge into an opportunity. In record time, **Petit Bistro Royal** was born.
The menu at the new little bistro is classic, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. With French-inspired dishes, you can enjoy a steak tartare for lunch or the catch of the day with a glass of wine in the evening. If you’re just in the mood for a coffee or a cocktail, you’re welcome to indulge in that too.
At Petit Bistro Royal, you’ll find beloved French classics and can always count on your glass being topped up, should you wish. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, and there’s always room for one more.
Located at Pilestræde 23, in the heart of Copenhagen, Petit Bistro Royal is open for both lunch and dinner. It also offers options for private and semi-private gatherings.
The original Bistro Royal at Kongens Nytorv is expected to reopen on March 1st, looking more stunning than ever.

As darkness falls and the reflections of the traffic lights in the windows of the bistro intensify, we transform the bistro from a dinner restaurant into a space where you can enjoy cocktails in the darkest hours of the day.
Our cocktail menu consists of signature cocktails as well as classics and tropical-inspired drinks. Additionally, we offer several non-alcoholic versions on the menu.
