Welcome to Bistro De Luxe

The very first Madklubben restaurant is located in the heart of historic Copenhagen, near the Danish royal palace at Amalienborg and The King’s Garden. Descend from street level into an elegantly minimalist and budget-friendly restaurant that offers modern interpretations of hearty Danish dishes. At Bistro De Luxe, traditional Danish cuisines meet classic French technique. The interior design is equally eclectic, from its beautiful wood paneling and leather couches, to its Eames chairs and rustic 19th century architectural details.

About Bistro De Luxe

The Madklubben adventure first began in Store Kongensgade, where Madklubben Bistro-de-Luxe opened its doors for the first time in May of 2007. The idea was to serve great food and drink at an affordable price in beautiful surroundings. That idea turned out to be the recipe for a hit. The Madklubben family has grown larger, but Bistro-de-Luxe remains a favorite with many guests.

If you like seasonal and beautiful, classic dishes based on the freshest produce, the finest meats and much more, this might be just the place for you. Because if anything characterizes Madklubben Bistro-de-Luxe it is a tight focus on the best produce.

The menu changes in time with the seasons and the courses are mainly inspired by Danish cuisine, but with a solid dash of French techniques. The kitchen is, however, always evolving and even though we primarily use Scandinavian produce, we are not afraid of using Japanese soy or Belgian chocolate if it improves the dish.

And the mission remains the same as ever: To serve up beautiful and modern food at more than fair prices.
