Welcome to Bistro Royal! Madklubben's elegant all-day bistro in the heart of Copenhagen. Literally. More precisely at Kongens Nytorv. You'll find both French and Danish classics morning, noon, and night.
As a guest at Bistro Royal, you can go from sipping your morning coffee while enjoying the view of bustling Copenhagen waking up. To indulging in a cocktail after dinner time, as the sight of Copenhagen transforms into a lively nightlife, and then settles down again.
Strongly influenced by Parisian traditions, both the decor, menu, and music at Bistro Royal are in many ways a focal point in Copenhagen for the classic bistro experience.
The essence of the restaurant lies in the spectrum between the regular guest who comes daily for an espresso and a croissant, to the grand classic French bistro dinner with a glass of Pinot Noir and Steak Frites.
On weekdays, we're open from 8:00 am until midnight, and on weekends, we invite you inside from 9:00 am until the clock strikes 2:00 am.
After Dark
As darkness falls and the reflections of the traffic lights in the windows of the bistro intensify, we transform the bistro from a dinner restaurant into a space where you can enjoy cocktails in the darkest hours of the day.
Our cocktail menu consists of signature cocktails as well as classics and tropical-inspired drinks. Additionally, we offer several non-alcoholic versions on the menu.

Bistro Royal has a wheelchair-accessible entrance via a backyard towards Adelgade with a single step around 10 cm high.
There is no ramp to the rear house, and therefore wheelchair users cannot sit there. Wheelchair users can sit in the restaurant and be accommodated there.

At Bistro Royal, a group reservation 10 people or more. As a group, you are required to pre-order the same menu for the entire party.
From Sunday to Wednesday, we are flexible regarding the arrival time.
On Thursdays to Saturdays, our restaurant is particularly busy. You can choose to arrive at 5:00 PM, 5:30 PM, or 6:00 PM, and your reservation will be for 2 hours and 15 minutes.
Alternatively, you can choose to arrive at 8:30 PM or 9:00 PM, and your reservation will be valid until the restaurant closes.
For those who wish to enjoy the evening without time constraints, you can book a full evening arrangement with a flexible arrival time:
Sunday to Wednesday: 700 DKK per person Thursday to Saturday: 1000 DKK per person
In November and December, the following prices apply: Sunday to Wednesday: 1000 DKK per person Thursday to Saturday: 1200 DKK per person
