Assistant restaurant manager

At Hanzō Frederiksberg, you are taken on a tour of Asia. Here, the borders between Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, China, Cambodia, and Indonesia are crossed without hesitation, offering you a dining experience with the fantastic flavors from Asian cuisines.

The concept is that the food is served sharing style, allowing guests to explore the menu and taste a bit of everything. It is all wrapped in an environment where food, drink, light, sound, scents, and colors blend into a single sensory experience.

About you

  • Your daily life will unfold in the restaurant, with the majority of your time spent alongside your team and guests on the floor.
  • Together with the restaurant manager, you have the overall responsibility for the daily management of the restaurant, and your greatest asset is your team.
  • You are the right-hand person to the restaurant manager and in close collaboration with them, ensure that everything operates smoothly.
  • The job entails, among other things, building and leading a team of middle managers and staff. Your most important task is to keep them highly motivated, knowing that nothing functions without a committed and well-functioning team.
  • Furthermore, you are responsible for ensuring that staffing levels in the restaurant are always spot-on during your shifts, including adhering to your budgeted labor costs and general financial management.
  • Additionally, there may be secondary responsibilities such as beverage inventory management, ordering supplies, developing menu, wine, and cocktail lists, optimizing restaurant operations, service, cleanliness, and more.
We are looking for:
  • A dedicated leader who is passionate about service and management, and enjoys interacting with guests. You should find it exciting when the restaurant is packed on a Friday evening, but equally comfortable on a quieter Tuesday night.
  • You love developing both leadership talents and team members, and you thrive in being part of a young dynamic team. You have leadership experience in the industry.
  • You are skilled in planning service and equally adept at delegating and leading service in a motivating and constructive manner.
  • You approach challenges with a "can-do" attitude and always see opportunities rather than problems. You thrive in a fast-paced environment but also enjoy immersing yourself in thorough planning for the restaurant's operations and optimization.
  • You are financially responsible and take the lead in ensuring the restaurant operates profitably.
  • You are accustomed to working with KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), and you strive to make today better than yesterday.
  • You thrive in evening and weekend work.
We offer
