About the Job
A day in the role of sous chef will include management and task distribution, optimizing the duty roster, financial management, ordering supplies, and maintaining quality and cleanliness. While you are preparing food and handling tickets, you will also need to motivate the team and brief the front-of-house staff about the evening’s service. You may have to deal with unexpected challenges, like a broken dishwasher, which you will need to handle on the fly. Success is running an evening with fantastic food, served on time, in a great mood, and with happy colleagues who feel motivated, inspired, and recognized in your company.
There will be regular menu changes with the seasons, where you will participate in developing dishes and recipes, as well as managing the associated finances.
