On the edge of the harbor, at the end of the Åen, right by Dokk1, at the doorstep of the light rail, and in the heart of the city, you’ll find restaurant Madklubben Aarhus. In the city’s beautiful Toldkammer, designed by Hack Kampmann and over the years home to everyone from ship-loving warehouse workers to architecture students and festive students, we have created a dining venue shaped by and for Aarhus. Madklubben’s mission is to serve excellent food at extraordinarily reasonable prices. We aim to be the alternative to dining at home – Aarhus’ natural and atmospheric gathering spot on both Tuesdays and Saturdays.
The menu offers a mix of classic Danish dishes and favorite foods from around the world, served by fresh and charismatic young people who make it their mission to turn the experience into a show. Each day, our staff, like stars, performs the restaurant industry’s best show, ensuring that every guest leaves Madklubben inspired to return.

A day in the role of sous chef will include leadership and delegation, optimization of the schedule, financial management, ordering supplies, maintaining quality and cleanliness. While cooking and managing tickets, you will motivate the team and brief the floor on the evening's service. You might face challenges like a malfunctioning dishwasher or other issues that you need to handle concurrently. Success means running an evening with fantastic food, served on time, with a positive attitude and happy colleagues who feel motivated, inspired, and appreciated in your company.
There will be regular menu changes with the seasons, where you will participate in the development of dishes and recipes, as well as the associated finances.
